Hyundai E&C 4th Campaign - Adding Art to Safety Helmet

The Safety Helmet, commonly used in construction sites, was set as an object for 5-design for 5-artists

To reinterpret the image of Hyundai Engineering and Construction, Saltcake has conducted a drawing artwork of young artists on safety helmets. It is an artwork production collaboration that casts artists from various fields and express modern construction using free materials in their own sensibility, style, and in the field.

Total of five artists in different fields were contacted by Saltcake (Architecture Lee Hong Kim, Fashion Seong Dong Lee, Diorama Jeong Hun An, Oriental painting Bo Young Lim, and Illustration Ari) were decided. It was expected that artists from different fields would express different ways in their own translations from their field of study. 

However, campaigns are not easily done. Saltcake has reached out for each artists for their interviews and asked their progression forward. Questions regarding their philosophy, their thoughts on the safety helmet and what it means to them. Saltcake has created a short video bench marking other best practices in other brand campaigns. Let’s take a look!

The safety helmet collaboration was a success. Saltcake hopes that Hyundai Engineering & Construction and all 5 artists meet again in the near future.
