Kim Young-ri, Executive Director at Saltcake, is participating as an instructor in the Global Fashion Management Program, jointly conducted by SUNY Korea, FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology), Seonuk High School, and Seoul Fashion Hub. She is sharing essential expertise and skills required in the global fashion industry with program participants.

The program offers a comprehensive curriculum that includes eight courses taught by SUNY Korea FIT faculty, 24 hours of instruction, mentoring, and networking events. Participants gain practical experience, such as analyzing fashion companies and developing growth strategies. In the final stage of the program, participants present to selected fashion companies based on what they have learned, demonstrating leadership within the fashion industry.

Among the eight courses, Kim Young-ri led the “Fashion Branding & Digital Branding” class. Drawing on her extensive experience and knowledge, she provided insights into core principles and innovations in fashion management. The course explored everyday brand and trend elements that are often overlooked, explained foundational branding theories, and demonstrated methodologies for integrating brand stories into digital branding and customer experience. Currently, Kim Young-ri also serves as an adjunct professor at SUNY Korea FIT, sharing her professional insights and expertise in fashion management with program participants.

Professor Vincent Kwan, Head of the Fashion Management Department at SUNY Korea FIT and the program’s director, stated, “Through lectures grounded in faculty experience and practice-oriented training, participants will learn best practices in the fashion industry and apply them to real-world work,” anticipating the participants’ successful growth as industry professionals.

The program is fully supported by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, and participants who successfully complete it receive a certificate from SUNY Korea. SUNY Korea FIT is a leading institution in global fashion education, with internationally recognized faculty and programs hosted in collaboration with Stony Brook University (SBU) and the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York.
